Reno, NV - - The Conscious Community Network encourages northern 
Nevadans---young and old, and
urban and suburban---to participate in the Third Annual "Get To Know 
Your Neighbor Week"
Saturday, June 21st through Monday June 30th.   A KICK-OFF will be held on
Thursday, May 15th, 6:30 PM, 1100 Moana Ln. at Moana Nursery.

The public is invited to find out how they can get involved; how 
businesses and organizations can get involved;
learn helpful tips from other community members who will share their 
experiences from previous years; and
learn from those who have started ongoing "caring circles" where 
neighbors help one another year round.

The first two annual events were so successful with more than 150 
different pot-lucks and block
parties and more than several thousand people involved, that it has 
turned into an ongoing movement.

"With so many studies indicating Americans feel disconnected from their 
larger community," Richard Flyer, a founder
of the Conscious Community Network, noted, "we wanted to hold a regional 
event where a large number of
gatherings would take place simultaneously."

Flyer added:  "By bringing people together to talk about common needs, 
we put a face on the person next door
and help people reconnect with the larger community they participate in."

"Get To Know Your Neighbor Week" is part of the Conscious Community 
Network.  The network is a
 regional-wide movement for spiritual and social renewal, that, as part 
of its mission, encourages creating a purpose driven community that 
focuses on demonstrating the virtues of love, integrity, courage, 
service, and respect in our lives.
