Peace Action 2008 Planning Meeting
Sunday April 13 - 2 PM
First United Methodist Church
(209 West First Street - across from Java Jungle)

*This is a very important meeting as we have some strategizing and 
long-term planning needed.  I know the weather will probably be nice, 
but try to make it.

*I received a call from Dean Heller's staff this past week for us to 
submit a format request to *meet with Mr. Heller in person in May*.  
This is a good opportunity.  It appears as though our efforts on March 
19 has paid a dividend here.  What we need to do is brainstorm and 
develop an approach to this meeting.   Heller is up for reelection this 
year, so if we can demonstrate broad support for our position we may 
have some influence.  We also will need to have some specific requests 
for him that he cannot flat out "say no" to. 

Proposed agenda:

(1) Introductions -- current activities - 30 min
    - peace events
    - our info flyer update
(2) Brainstorm and organize a plan for the Heller meeting - 45 min
    - representation at the meeting
    - using our statement
    - press work
    - requests

Break - 15 min
 
(3) Peace Fair - 20 min
    - establish date
    - review concept
    - solidify planning committee
(4) closing
