[Peace-presence] Stop escalation - somethiing you can do right now!!

  And remember..we're gathering at Bully's (McCarrron and Pyramid) at 6pm on Wednesday (come a little earlier to have some dinner) to watch the speech, and then afterwards walk right over to the recruiting office to tell the media that we want no troop escalation and we want the war to end!
   
  AFTER YOU READ THIS, please pass it on....to everyone! Stop the escalation of troops!
    Just got this from a peace group...and it's a wonderful idea! Remember: Reid changed his mind on troop escalation after being deluged with calls!
   
  RIGHT NOW:  call your Congressperson telling them you oppose any escalation. We need LOTS of calls going in to EACH office.
  Toll Free (These go right to the Capital, and you can then ask for you Congresspeople) 
800-828-0498, 800-459-1887 or 800-614-2803, and tell them NO ESCALATION.

  Here is some interesting information I got by calling and talking to the staff people in DC: (for Nevada, New York, Oregon reps)
    Senator Ensign (NV): You call in, voice  your opinion, and someone takes your name, address, phone number. Staff apprised of these calls on a regular basis.
     Senator Reid (NV): You call in, get a voice mail telling you to push 1 to speak to a staff person, push 2 to leave a voice message. Upon pushing 1, you get a staff  person; you voice your opinion. Senator sees this on a regular basis. 
      Congressman Heller (NV): You call in, voice  your opinion. Congressperson sees these at the end of each week. 
       Senator Clinton (NY):  You call in, voice your opinion. Senator sees these at end of the week.   
       Senator Schumer:(NY) You call in, voice  your opinion. You are asked for your zip code. Senator sees these calls daily.
      Senator Smith: (OR) You call in, voice  your opinion. Staff sees these on a daily basis, advises the Senator. 
       Senator Wyden OR):  Be prepared to wait...this may be good news...there was a high volume of calls when I called in! But call..it's toll free and worth it!
   
  Here is a site you can go to and email a letter to your reps as well..they do all the work for you, you just type in your message!!! It takes a few minutes, that's it!
