We would lke a great studio audience. The Republicans are inviting people too!

Press Advisory: Community Forum concerning Troop Surge and Funding the War
for more information: Lisa Stiller 232-2823

What: A community forum will be held as an informal debate over present policies in Iraq. We will be discussing Bush's call for a troop surge, and efforts to end the war by defunding it and passing legislation that will limit what Bush can do in Iraq. Should we push forward, or is it past time to leave? How do we leave? These topics will be among those discussed by people on both sides of the debate.

When: Monday, Feb 5, taping to begin about 7:45pm

Where: Sncat studio, 4024 Kietzke Lane, Reno

Who: This event is being sponsored by the Reno Antiwar Coalition

More information: President Bush is sending his Supplemental Budget request of $100 billion for the war to the House this week. Those in favor of the troop surge and ongoing operations in Iraq will be supporting the budget, while some who would like to find ways to end the war would like to make cuts in the request to "defund" the war. That is why we feel this discussion is especially important at this time.
The community is invited to this event. There will be time for audience comments and questions.
