Sign-making Pot Luck!

Come and make signs Monday evening for the Bush demo
on Tuesday morning. Even if you can't make it to the
demo, get your feelings on posterboard and we'll take
them with us.

Bring a dish to share and think of a few words you
want to put on a poster to share your feelings on the
state of the union.

George Bush will be in Reno Tuesday morning. Join
AAIE, Molly Ivins Pots and Pans Brigade, A28, other
organizations and Washoe County residents in a
demonstration against the worst president in US
history!

We are protesting Bush's policies in Iraq. We hope all
will respect the Legionnaires to whom he is speaking
and promote support for the troops by bringing them
home!

Republican group to rally outside of Nevada Senator
Harry Reid’s office

The Republican Party and an extreme Neo Con group
called “Move America Forward,” are planning to rally
to encourage the United States to stay involved in
Iraq’s civil war.

Move America Forward is led by neo-conservative radio
host Melanie Morgan who once told the San Francisco
Chronicle that the editor of the New York Times should
be tried for treason and “sent to the gas chamber,”
for reporting violations of civil liberties by the
Bush Administration, (San Francisco Chronicle, “New
chapter in battle of words over tracking terrorist
financing” 6/29/06) 

They are up to their same old tricks again. Move
America Forward and the Republican Party are calling
themselves pro-troop, but are ignoring reality.
Therefore, local veterans are going to lead the
response of those who have common sense and know that
we must end our involvement in Iraq’s civil war.

We will not allow them to put pressure on our elected
officials to leave our troops in another countries’
civil war, nor will we allow them to spread their
extremist message.

Republican front group, opposes a change of course in
Iraq and has organized to push back on Americans’
resolve to end the war. 

The group will rally outside of Sen. Reid’s office on
Sept. 3. They do not want Sen. Reid to lead the fight
in Congress to bring a responsible end to the war.
