To all members of the Reno Med School community --
Shannon Ellis, Vice President of Student Services, has asked that we
pass along to you notice of an important event, and an opportunity for
you all to help:
ASUN President Champagne and ASUN President Elect Ragsdale need your
help. On Tuesday, April 17, they would like to hold a candle light
vigil at 8pm on the JTSU lawn to express sympathy for those students
killed and the Virginia Tech community who are enduring this tragedy
that has unfolded today.
Their goal is to get UNR students, faculty, staff, members of the
Reno/Sparks community, and a cross section of religious leaders from the
Reno-Sparks community onto our campus tomorrow evening for this vigil.
The Sagebrush will be sending an invitation to the community at large.
Please spread the word regarding this important event to anyone you can
-- it is in times of tragedy that we most need community.
I will pass along more information as it is received.
