            Lisa,
Please send this on to PeacePresence and RenoAnti-War lists for me. One of the ways to “bring the war home” – I think it’s already here but we do not see it! – is to measure what is lost to federal, state and local programs of service and support to one another in the pretense of national security and self-interest. The choices between those who have squandered these resources on war and violence and those who say they will not are so clear – yet mostly unspoken and undebated. While I am on the RAIN Board, and ask personal support by folks appearing at the symposium for however long they can stay – registration at the door! – I too will be pushing the speakers to say what difference it could make to affordable, accessible, available services in our state if we were not throwing hundreds of billions into the war. Enough preaching!!
Thanks, John Auer, 322-4564 or 322-2013
