Hi All:
This coming Friday, September 15, will be another Poetry, Peace and Music evening at Dreamer's Coffeeshop, on the first floor of the riverside artists lofts, 17 N. Virginia Street, from 7-10 p.m. It's free!
The evening is hosted by Lee Dazey, Kim Elise and Chris Good, three local musicians. And it's an open-mic night, so there's plenty of room for musicians, poets, dancers, thespians, storytellers and just about any other kind of performer to take their time on the stage.
If you'd like to perform, you should arrive near the 7 p.m. hour to get yourself on the list. If you'd simply like to watch and be entertained, arrive any time between 7-10 p.m.
Poetry, Peace and Music happen on the first and third Fridays of each month. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the performances are diverse and wonderful. The stage is open to anyone who can perform in just about any medium for 10 minutes, with a request to keep the act relatively clean, so that the various families who drift in and out of the coffeeshop will feel welcome and comfortable.
The talent has been amazing, and the reception has been kind and encouraging. You won't regret coming out for Poetry Peace and Music!
