      If peace activist Rachel Corrie had not been killed by an Israeli bulldozer on March 16 2003 while trying to prevent Palestinian homes from being razed, we might still have heard of her. For Corrie's voice was so distinctive and it still sings out with such sweet clarity like a loud, insistent bell that it is hard to believe she might not have eventually become the poet or artist she longed to be. This was a young woman who had a fire in her belly and who wanted "to see. I want to see everything." What she saw made her celebrate and love the world and also gave her the determination to change it. 

Perhaps Rachel's Voice can create a tone-bridge between adversaries as she takes on the most difficult issues of our time. 

Come witness her song at Reno 's First United Methodist Church , 209 W. First Street, 7pm on October 14 (one night only). Free admissions with donations gratefully accepted on behalf of The Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.
